Rebirth of the Legend

Hotel Kämp is the iconic heart of Helsinki, which first opened its doors in 1887. The hotel reopened in 1999 after a major refurbishment. Now, the hotel, a symbol of classic luxury, is being refurbished once again, revitalising the heart of the city center. The refurbishment will be carried out in phases, with the fully renovated hotel due to be completed in early 2026. The hotel will be open throughout the refurbishment.

The first authentic grand hôtel in Finland, Hotel Kämp, embarks on a comprehensive refurbishment. Throughout this transformation, the entire hotel's ambiance and interior will be renewed, technology will be modernized, and the overall guest experience will be elevated to new heights. The refurbishment will be conducted with utmost respect for the hotel's history and character, ensuring that it evolves to meet the expectations of both classic luxury hotels and the demands of today and the future.

In May 2025 Kämp’s expansion wing, will be completed, allowing guests access to 22 brand new rooms and suites located within the newly integrated section of Hotel Kämp. The Transformation of Helander House includes both the facade and improved, more energy-efficient heating and ventilation systems. Additionally, the property's current office spaces will be converted into hotel rooms. The refurbishment work may cause occasional noise disturbance on weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM.

The first phase of the refurbishment project was completed in October 2024, introducing 119 refurbished Deluxe and Premium Deluxe rooms.These rooms offer views of the courtyard.

In Ocotber 2024 pop-up restaurant Notes by Kämp was introduced. Notes by Kämp serves guests while Kämp Bar and Brasserie Kämp are closed for refurbishments. Notes by Kämp invites you to indulge in a carefully curated menu that celebrates classic flavors and seasonal delights.

As the refurbishment project moves forward, Kämp Spa closed on February 23, 2025, and on March 3, 2025, the temporary Kämp Wellness opened on the 3rd floor of Hotel Kämp, in the hotel's peaceful and fully renovated courtyard wing. Kämp Wellness offers individually tailored massages as well as facial, foot, and body treatments. A new highlight is the Duo Treatments, shared wellness experiences designed especially for friends and couples. Parking

The refurbishment project at Hotel Kämp will extend to the Hotel parking, making it unavailable. We recommend using Europark Kluuvi, with entrances at Fabianinkatu 27 and Puutarhakatu 1. Daily parking can be added to your room bill – please provide your license plate number upon check-in.
